This coffee concentrate is so easy to conjure up

Preparation of the cold brew concentrate:

  • It is best to freshly grind 200 to 250 grams of coffee yourself (coarse grinding) so that the aroma can develop properly.
  • Put the ground coffee in a correspondingly large glass vessel and pour one liter of cold water over it.
  • Mix the water and coffee together well, cover with a clean cloth or foil, then leave to rest for at least 12 hours.
  • After the rest period, first pour off the ground coffee through a fine sieve and then through a paper or stainless steel coffee filter.

You can now keep this coffee concentrate in the refrigerator for at least two weeks. It forms the basis for the delicious cocktails with cold brew.

To make a cold brew cocktail, you need a few basics:


  • Ice cubes or cold water
  • possibly sweeteners
  • the coffee concentrate from the refrigerator

Cold brew cocktails for the day

Recipe:


  • 5 ice cubes
  • 100 ml tonic water
  • 50 ml coffee concentrate

First put the ice cubes in the glass , pour in the tonic water and only at the end do you pour the coffee concentrate on everything. A slice of grapefruit rounds off the fresh taste. If you want a stronger and therefore more stimulating variant, simply take 100 ml instead of 50 ml of coffee concentrate.

Coffee with lemon juice for hot days

Recipe:


  • 5 ice cubes
  • 150 ml coffee concentrate
  • 100 ml tonic water
  • Juice of half a lemon

Put ice cubes in the glass, fill up with tonic water, add the coffee and finally pour in the lemon juice.

  • 3-5 ice cubes
  • 150 ml coffee concentrate
  • 50 ml freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 50 ml of mineral water
  • 20 ml maple syrup or agave syrup for sweetening – can be, but doesn’t have to be.

Put the ice in a glass, pour the syrup over it and only then fill up with the orange juice and mineral water. Finally pour in the coffee. Stir everything gently. A small sprig of rosemary should be added to the cocktail as the icing on the cake.

Cold brew with elderberry syrup

Recipe:


  • 3 ice cubes
  • 150 ml coffee concentrate
  • 100 ml tonic water
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 40 ml elderflower syrup – this amount can be increased or decreased according to your own taste.

Fill the glass with the ice cubes, add the syrup and lemon juice, then add the tonic water and finally pour the cold coffee concentrate on the cocktail.

Cold Brew Latte

  • 3 ice cubes
  • 150 ml coffee concentrate
  • 50 ml of milk

With this cocktail variant, you can play with the milk taste. How about almond milk or nut milk? You can use them too. Put the ice cubes and the coffee in a glass and add the milk at the end.

Cold brew iced coffee

Recipe:


  • 200 ml coffee concentrate
  • 2 scoops of ice cream – vanilla ice cream or nut ice cream, depending on your taste
  • Whipped cream for the bonnet decoration
  • Chocolate grated, cocoa or hazelnut brittle to decorate

  • 2 cream capsules
  • Dark cane sugar for decoration

  • 40 ml coffee concentrate
  • 40 ml of cream
  • 80 ml of vodka

Pour the coffee with the vodka over the ice cubes. Don’t shake, just stir. Beat the cream just so lightly that it is still liquid, then pour it over the vodka, coffee and ice cream mixture. Stop stirring.

  • 30 ml vanilla syrup

  • 40 ml coffee concentrate
  • 40 ml of cold water
  • 20 ml of vodka
  • 40 ml tonic water
  • Orange wedges (with peel)
  • Cane sugar

  • 3-5 ice cubes
  • 50 ml coffee concentrate
  • 30 ml of whiskey
  • 30 ml of cream
  • 15 ml maple syrup
  • some cinnamon to sprinkle

Put all ingredients in a shaker and shake the cocktail for about 10 seconds. Put everything in a drinking glass and dust with a little cinnamon.
